So the Short story is My Yamaha Live custom Emerald drums that I've been playing for several years at shows was on a short Vacation and someone else was responsible for them for about a year. Now that i have them back, I went to change the heads and saw the Bearing edge was wrecked. for those of you who arent drum nerds the bearing edge is the part of the drum that touches the head (the thing you hit).... you want this is be perfect to optimize the tine and overall sound of the drum.
On the Left is the damage... on the right is the fix from Brownie Drums here in Raleigh!
